    F-15E Eagle This is the F-15E Strike Eagle. This was the replacement for the F/B-111. Janes based their most recent sim on this versatile airplane. Having earned it's wings in the Persian Gulf the Strike Eagle is the primary Air Force deep strike tactical bomber. Able to carry an immense load for great distances with great precision is the greatest
    strength of the Strike Eagle. Janes puts together a great package in this game. If your looking for an arcade game don't touch this game. With this one it's truly a "simulation". The flight modeling is well done unlike the disappointing F-18 Korea. I am going to collect and post information on this site so keep checking in. 
     
     
     
    This game is based in of course, the Middle East. There are two campaigns available. You can refight the Persian Gulf War. Or you can do battle against the Iranians in the year 2001. Both are extremely well done and challenging.
     
     
    The terrain varies from desert to snow covered mountains. All of which is beautifully done. This game supports the Voodoo and VoodooII chipsets. With 3dfx the game truly  comes alive. 
     
     
     
     
     
     
    From the radio chatter that comes at you in real time, to the superior AI this game makes you feel like your in the cockpit of the F-15E!
     


    For those of us who have been playing sims for a while know is that it takes imagination to really think that blob was a Mig. Most games you couldn't tell if it's a Mig or a Cessna. This is definitely not the case with this game. There are multiple detail settings so that slower machines can still enjoy the experience without killing gameplay.But, if you have a 3D Accelerator card you are in for a treat. Take a look below.
    Another great thing included in this sim is inflight refueling! It's essential to complete some missions. It's got to be close to the real thing because it's TOUCHY! For the less inclined to sweat out this realistic aspect Jane's thoughtfully included an "Auto Tanking" mode. Just a press of the button and it will do it all for you. Of course no self respecting hardcore simmer would even contemplate this. Ok, maybe once.
